Architects for Risk Identification, Understanding, and Management (Arium) was established in 1998 by Robin Wilkinson, former Head of Legal Services at British Airways. We specialise in developing risk models, primarily for the reinsurance industry, using a unique methodology based on dependency theory.
Our approach to problem-solving helps our clients anticipate and avoid costly and time-consuming errors. With applications in several industries – from making air safety decisions at British Airways to quantifying catastrophic exposures in life and liability insurance – Arium’s models help make sense of an uncertain world.
On January 23, 2017, Verisk Analytics acquired Arium, which will become part of Verisk’s AIR Worldwide business. Arium’s deep domain expertise in casualty risk analytics will enable AIR and Verisk to offer a broader array of solutions to help companies manage extreme event risk across their entire enterprise.
